RENO, Nevada (March 19, 2008) – Celebrating its fifth year, Casino Marketing Conference is set for July 22-24 at Paris Las Vegas. A partnership between Raving Consulting and BNP Media Gaming Group, two market-leading companies, Casino Marketing is the gaming industry’s premiere marketing conference and trade show.
Two dynamic keynote speakers are confirmed for the conference – Dr. Bill Eadington and Don McMillan. Eadington is Director of the Institute for the Study of Gambling and Commercial Gaming at the University of Nevada, Reno, and a world-renowned expert on gambling issues. He will speak on the topic of “Casino Marketing Challenges Worldwide.” McMillan is a humorist whose unique background allows him to take a light-hearted look at computers, technology, and the high-tech life. A principal with Technically Funny, his presentation is entitled “How NOT to Communicate and Sell Your Casino Marketing Message to Casino Management.”
“We are developing a strong lineup of speakers, including marketing experts from a number of different types of gaming venues,” said Dennis Conrad, Raving’s President and Chief Strategist. “Dr. Eadington knows the global gaming industry perhaps better than anyone, and his presentation will surely be a high point of the conference.”
Casino Marketing will also feature two prestigious annual awards ceremonies – the Romero Awards: Recognizing Excellence in Casino Marketing; and the Casino Marketing Lifetime Achievement Award. For 2008, the latter honor will be bestowed upon Ginny Shanks, former Senior Vice President of Brand Management for Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. And the deadline for submitting entries in the Romero Awards competition is April 30.
The conference has quickly grown into one of the premier events in the gaming industry, attracting several hundred of the most creative minds from commercial and tribal casinos of all sizes throughout North America and around the globe.
The day before Casino Marketing Conference officially begins, the unique Player Development Summit on July 22 returns after its successful debut last year. This year’s event theme is opportunity, with in-depth sessions exploring how best to reach Asian, Hispanic, Gen X and Gen Y, senior and tourist markets.
